Ame means rain. This painting is an intuitive creation to explain the acid rains which occurs when sulphur dioxide and Nitrogen oxides are emitted into atmosphere, and they react with each other and mix with water before falling to the ground. Acid rains can reduce the ph of surface waters and lower the biodiversity. It can also deplete soil of important plant nutrients such as calcium and magnesium. The release of such chemicals are caused due to burning of fossil fuels to generate electricity, from manufacturing units, oil refineries etc.
