Indentation is an elucidation on deforestation. Deforestation is the clearing of a forest, entirely removing it to put something else in its place. The main driver of deforestation is unsustainable and illegal agriculture to make room for cash crops like palm oil and rubber. It can result in more carbon dioxide being released into the atmosphere. It also threatens the world’s biodiversity. Tropical forests are home to great numbers of animal and plant species. When forests are logged or burned, it can drive many of those species into extinction.
